The Erechtheion - Athens Greece
The Erechtheion completed in 405 BC sits high above Athens on top of the Acropolis along with the Parthenon. The Erechtheion, named after the demi-god Erechtheus, the mythical Athenian king, was conceived as a suitable structure to house the ancient wooden cult statue of Athena.
